A mild Chinese green tea with very low astringency. With grassy, fresh and buttery notes, Sencha is a great green for your daily tea ritual. Our organic sencha is produced in Hunan Province, China, using Japanese methods (sencha traditionally being a Japanese green tea). This means the heat applied to inhibit oxidation comes in the form of steam, instead of the dry "pan-frying", which is the usual method used to produce other Chinese teas.
